related RV electrical-system analysis.
Available features depend on your subscription plan.
2. ENGINEERING TOOL — NOT INSTALLATION CERTIFICATION
RV Solar + Battery Designer is an engineering assistance and decision-support tool.
It does not replace the professional judgement of a suitably qualified electrician, auto electrician, electrical engineer, RV technician, installer, manufacturer or other competent person where such professional involvement is required.
A result produced by the Designer must not be interpreted as:
a certificate of electrical compliance;
an installation certificate;
regulatory approval;
engineering certification;
a guarantee that a system is safe to construct;
a guarantee that an installation complies with every applicable law, standard or code;
or approval from an equipment, vehicle or RV manufacturer.
All electrical work must be designed, installed, inspected and commissioned in accordance with applicable Australian laws, electrical standards, vehicle requirements, manufacturer instructions and licensing requirements.
Where professional certification or licensed electrical work is required, you are responsible for obtaining it.
3. ENGINEERING RESULTS
RV Solar + Battery Designer may provide calculations, simulations, recommendations, warnings and engineering outcomes such as PASS, CHECK or FAIL.
These outputs are based on the information available to the Designer, including:
information entered by the user;
equipment data;
manufacturer specifications;
weather and solar-resource information;
engineering assumptions;
calculation models;
system configuration;
and available technical datasets.
A PASS result does not mean that an installation is automatically approved for construction.
A CHECK result means that one or more matters require further review, information or professional judgement.
A FAIL result indicates that the proposed design has not satisfied one or more applicable design checks within the Designer.
Users must investigate warnings and unresolved CHECK or FAIL results before relying on the design.
4. USER-SUPPLIED INFORMATION
The accuracy of a design depends on the accuracy and completeness of the information provided.
You are responsible for ensuring that information entered into the Designer is accurate and appropriate for the RV being assessed.
This includes information such as:
appliances and loads;
operating times;
battery details;
solar panels;
charging equipment;
inverters;
vehicles;
alternators;
DC-DC chargers;
generators;
air-conditioning systems;
RV dimensions;
insulation;
location;
travel patterns;
equipment already installed;
and other relevant system information.
We are not responsible for incorrect results caused by incorrect, incomplete or misleading information supplied by a user.
5. EQUIPMENT AND MANUFACTURER DATA
RV Solar + Battery Designer may use technical information obtained from manufacturers, suppliers, publicly available technical documents and other engineering data sources.
We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate technical information, but equipment specifications may change.
Manufacturers may also revise products, firmware, installation requirements, warranties or technical limits without notice.
Users should confirm critical equipment specifications against the current manufacturer's documentation before purchasing or installing equipment.
Where manufacturer requirements conflict with a value shown by the Designer, the manufacturer's current requirements must be investigated before proceeding.
6. SUPPLIER AND MANUFACTURER PRODUCT SELECTION
Commercial plans may provide supplier catalogues, preferred-product lists, approved-product sets, manufacturer libraries or related product-management features.
Commercial preferences do not override engineering requirements.
A supplier, manufacturer or business preference may influence selection only between products that are otherwise considered technically eligible for the proposed application.
A preferred product must not be treated as acceptable where it breaches an engineering limit, manufacturer requirement or other applicable design constraint.
7. SOLAR AND WEATHER MODELLING
Solar generation estimates may use location-specific solar-resource and weather information.
Actual solar production can differ from calculated results because of matters including:
weather;
cloud cover;
temperature;
shading;
panel contamination;
orientation;
tilt;
installation conditions;
system losses;
equipment ageing;
and local environmental conditions.
Solar forecasts and simulations are estimates and are not guarantees of future energy production.
8. AIR-CONDITIONING AND THERMAL MODELLING
Where air-conditioning or RV thermal modelling is used, results may consider factors including:
RV geometry;
insulation;
conductive heat transfer;
solar heat gain;
occupants;
appliances;
ventilation;
infiltration;
humidity;
sensible and latent heat loads;
air-conditioner performance;
and operating conditions.
Actual heating or cooling performance may vary because of real-world construction, weather, usage and equipment behaviour.
9. SAVED DESIGNS
RV Solar + Battery Designer is designed around saved design projects rather than one-off calculations.
While your subscription is active, you may reopen and modify saved designs subject to the capabilities of your plan.
If your paid subscription ends, we intend to retain your saved designs rather than automatically delete them.
Your account may become read-only after cancellation or expiry.
If you later reactivate an eligible subscription, editing, calculation, simulation and reporting functionality may again become available.
We may introduce reasonable data-retention policies in the future. If a change would materially affect stored customer designs, reasonable notice will be provided where practicable.
10. DIY FREE TRIAL
Eligible DIY accounts may receive a 14-day free trial.
No subscription payment is required during the trial period unless otherwise clearly disclosed before signup.
If payment details are required when commencing the trial, subscription billing begins only after the free-trial period unless you cancel beforehand.
The current DIY subscription options may include monthly or annual billing as displayed on the Pricing page at the time of purchase.
11. COMMERCIAL FREE TRIAL
Eligible commercial accounts may receive a 60-day free trial.
No subscription charge is made during the free-trial period.
You may cancel before the end of the trial and pay nothing for the subscription.
If you continue after the trial, billing begins according to the commercial subscription option you selected.
12. COMMERCIAL SUBSCRIPTION OPTIONS
Commercial plans may be offered as:
a flexible month-to-month subscription; or
a discounted 12-month subscription commitment billed monthly.
A 12-month subscription commitment is not an annual upfront payment unless explicitly stated otherwise.
For a 12-month plan billed monthly, you agree to the applicable monthly payments for the current 12-month subscription term.
Cancelling a 12-month plan prevents renewal for another term but does not automatically remove payment obligations that have already arisen for the remainder of the current committed term, except where required by law.
Flexible month-to-month subscriptions may generally be cancelled before the next billing period to prevent the next subscription charge.
The Pricing page displayed at the time of purchase forms part of the applicable subscription terms.
13. PRICING
All prices displayed for Australian customers are in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise.
Prices may change from time to time.
A pricing change will not retrospectively alter amounts already paid.
Where practical, reasonable notice will be provided before a pricing change applies to an existing recurring subscription.
Different subscription tiers may provide different commercial, user-management, catalogue, branding, reporting, manufacturer and organisational capabilities.
Higher-priced plans do not intentionally receive more accurate core engineering calculations merely because they cost more.
The same applicable core engineering calculation framework is used across subscription tiers.
14. NO PER-DESIGN FEES
Unless specifically stated otherwise for a particular service or future feature, normal use of the Designer under an active subscription is not charged on a per-design basis.
Users may create additional normal RV design projects within the reasonable usage and technical limits of their subscription plan.
15. FAIR USE
Subscriptions are intended for normal use by the person, business or organisation associated with the account.
You must not use the service in a manner that:
places unreasonable load on the platform;
attempts to bypass plan limitations;
automatically extracts large amounts of platform data;
scrapes proprietary datasets;
interferes with the operation or security of the service;
or provides unauthorised access to other people.
We may apply reasonable technical limits to protect system reliability and security.
16. ACCOUNTS AND SECURITY
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials.
You must not knowingly allow unauthorised people to access your account.
Commercial plans supporting multiple users must use the available user-access mechanisms rather than sharing a single login between unrelated users where individual access is available.
You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
17. ACCEPTABLE USE
You must not use RV Solar + Battery Designer:
for unlawful purposes;
to intentionally create unsafe electrical designs;
to misrepresent an unverified design as professionally certified;
to bypass applicable electrical or vehicle safety requirements;
to interfere with the platform;
to gain unauthorised access to another user's information;
to reverse engineer protected parts of the service except where permitted by law;
or to copy or commercially redistribute our proprietary data, software or calculation systems without permission.
18. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
RV Solar + Battery Designer, including its software, interface, branding, calculation systems, data structures, original content, documentation and related intellectual property, remains owned by us or our licensors.
Your subscription gives you a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with your plan and these Terms.
You retain ownership of information and original content that you enter into your account, subject to the rights reasonably required for us to store, process, back up and display that information in order to provide the service.
19. REPORTS AND CUSTOMER DOCUMENTS
Eligible plans may permit generation of reports, Bills of Materials, customer documents or other outputs.
You may use reports created from your own legitimate designs for personal or normal business purposes permitted by your subscription.
You must not remove or alter information in a way that intentionally makes an engineering result misleading.
Commercial reports generated by the Designer do not become electrical compliance certificates merely because they are branded or supplied to a customer.
20. THIRD-PARTY PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
The Designer may refer to products, manufacturers, suppliers, mapping services, weather information, payment providers or other third-party services.
References to a third party do not necessarily constitute an endorsement.
Third-party products and services are subject to their own terms, warranties and conditions.
We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, availability or performance of independent third parties.
21. SERVICE AVAILABILITY
We aim to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
The service may occasionally be unavailable because of:
maintenance;
upgrades;
security work;
third-party service outages;
internet failures;
technical faults;
or events outside our reasonable control.
We may modify or improve the service over time.
Where practical, changes will be implemented without unnecessarily disrupting existing customer designs.
22. BACKUPS AND DATA
We use reasonable measures to protect and maintain platform data.
However, no online service can guarantee that data will never be lost or corrupted.
Users should retain copies of important final reports, equipment documentation and other critical project information where appropriate.
23. PRIVACY
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By using the service, you acknowledge that information necessary to operate your account and designs will be processed in accordance with that policy.
24. AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable Australian legislation.
Where a guarantee or statutory right cannot legally be excluded, these Terms operate subject to that right.
25. WARRANTIES
To the extent permitted by law, RV Solar + Battery Designer is provided on an “as available” basis.
We do not guarantee that:
every design will be suitable for construction;
every equipment record will always be current;
every simulation will exactly reproduce real-world performance;
the service will always be uninterrupted;
or every possible engineering or installation issue will be detected.
The Designer is intended to improve the quality and consistency of design decisions, not eliminate the need for competent professional judgement.
26. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of the service.
This may include loss arising from:
equipment purchasing decisions;
installation work;
vehicle modifications;
electrical failures;
battery damage;
equipment incompatibility;
business interruption;
lost profits;
travel disruption;
or reliance on information that should reasonably have been independently verified.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
27. USER RESPONSIBILITY FOR FINAL DESIGN AND INSTALLATION
The person or organisation carrying out, approving or commissioning an installation remains responsible for the final installed system.
Before construction or installation, users should confirm:
equipment specifications;
cable and protection requirements;
manufacturer requirements;
applicable standards;
licensing requirements;
vehicle requirements;
RV manufacturer requirements;
physical installation constraints;
and all safety-critical design matters.
The Designer should form part of a proper design and verification process rather than being used as the sole authority for safety-critical work.
28. SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION
We may suspend or terminate access where there is reasonable evidence of:
fraud;
security abuse;
unlawful use;
serious breach of these Terms;
attempted unauthorised access;
deliberate interference with the service;
or persistent non-payment.
Where appropriate and reasonably practicable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.
29. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms as the service develops.
Material changes will be notified through the website, account, email or another reasonable method where appropriate.
Continued use of the service after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those Terms, subject to applicable law.
30. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Australia.
Nothing in these Terms restricts rights available to you under mandatory Australian consumer legislation.
